3. Slide the Front End Controller (FEC)
assembly out of the card cage until
you can reach the ribbon cable con-
nected at the bottom of the assem-
bly.
4. Disconnect the ribbon cable and set
the FEC assembly aside on an ESD
mat.
5. Remove all the remaining PCBs from
the card cage by lifting the individual
board retainers to disengage them
from the Scanhead Select Module.
Set the boards aside on ESD mats.
