Configuration
The ultrasound system must be properly configured with an IP address before UpLink software
can be used remotely via a network connection.
➤ To configure the ultrasound system for UpLink network connection
1. Power up the ultrasound system.
2. Press Setups.
3. Click Print/Network.
4. Click the Global Config tab. The ultrasound system configuration is displayed.
5. Consult with the hospital administrator to obtain an IP address and subnet mask, if needed. If
the IP address is 0.0.0.0, the hospital administrator has not configured the ultrasound system
network settings.
6. If the hospital administrator does not have a preferred IP address and subnet mask, enter
192.168.0.100 for the IP address and 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask.
7. Verify that a gateway is entered in the Gateway field. If the field is blank, enter a bogus IP
address on the same subnet as the ultrasound system. (in this case, 192.168.0.1).
8. Reboot the ultrasound system to commit the changes.
