CSIP Level 1 General Information: Physical Description
Video Monitor
The video monitor is mounted to an articulation arm and may be adjusted to suit the user. It is a
single 17-inch, 12-Vdc, non-interlaced (Super Inplane Switching or S-IPS) LCD. The monitor may
be removed by FSE’s for mobile systems. It is not customer removable. Video resolution is
SXGA (1,280 x 1,024 pixels) for all operating modes.
The system video rate to the display is 75 Hz.

Refer to Section 11, “Cabling”, for information.
Peripherals
Peripherals are installed onto the platform on the rear of the cart with their control panels
accessible to the user. Some peripheral controls also are available on the system control panel
for various functions. The peripherals sold by Philips include those shown in Figure 1-3.
In addition to the peripherals in the figure, there are three Hewlet-Packard report printers that
are supported by system software but not sold by Philips: Desk Jet 5650 color inkjet printer,
LaserJet 1300 black-and-white report printer, and Color Laserjet 2550L. Those printers can be
purchased locally and connected to the system without installing software drivers.
