CSIP Level 1 Theory of Operation: Physical Structure
• Receives signals from the CPM for the following:
- Four touch-screen signals to the LCD
- Four ground signals
- Two +5 Vdc signals
- Two +3.3 Vdc signals
- Two beeper signals
- Potentiometer brightness control
- Sleep control to the LCD backlight
Control Panel User Interface (CPUI)
Contains the rotary encoder and push-button switch interface to CPM
TGC/LGC Board
• Contains eight Time Gain Compensation and eight Lateral Gain Compensation slide pots
with LEDs
• The sixteen slide pot signals are multiplexed to eight analog signals representing the position
of each slide pot location
• Multiplexed slide pot signals are sent to the CPM for processing
Backlight Inverter (2 Each)
• Connected to the Control Panel Connector Board.
• 600 Vac powers the touch screen “backlight.” High voltage is present across the lower end of
the transformer.
