Theory of Operation
Feed Drive Assembly
The Feed Drive Assy transmits the driving force from the Sub and Main Drive
Assemblies to the CMYK developers. The drive path is changed by the Color
Mode Switching Solenoid, located on the Feed Drive Assy to restrict drive to
only the Black Developer in Black and White print mode. In Black and White
mode, drive to the CMY developers from the Sub Drive Assy is disengaged. The
Color Mode Switching Sensor detects whether the drive path is set for B/W or
full color.
