show banner motd
show banner motd
To display a configured message of the day (MOTD) banner, use the show banner motd command.
show banner motd
Syntax Description This command has no arguments or keywords.
Defaults None.
Command Modes EXEC mode.
Command History
Usage Guidelines The configured MOTD banner is displayed before the login prompt on the terminal whenever a user logs
in to a switch.
Examples The following example displays the configured banner message.
switch# show banner motd
Testing the MOTD Feature
The configured message is visible the next time you log in to the switch:
