Chapter 22 Show Commands
show module
The following example uses the show port index-allocation command on the Cisco MDS 9124 switch.
switch# show port index-allocation
Module index distribution:
------------------------------------------------------+
Slot | Allowed | Allotted indices info |
| range* | Total | Index values |
-----|---------|-------|------------------------------|
1 | 0- 255| 24 | 0-23 |
SUP | ----- | - | (None) |
*Allowed range applicable only for Generation-1 modules
The following example uses the show module, show port index-allocation, and show module
recovery-steps commands to display a Generation 1 module that is powered down because indices are
not available in its slot. Specifically, indices 28 through 31 are taken by a 48-port card in slot 2.
switch# show module
