power to the solenoid valve in the
injector
Power is supplied to the injector solenoid valve
which then opens, so that the fuel flows up into
the valve part. The pressure difference which
arises in the injector means that the piston is
drawn upwards and fuel is injected into the
cylinders.
When power is switched off to the solenoid
valve, the fuel pressure in the injector pushes
the piston downwards and closes the injector.
