HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Check oil level in hydraulic tank.
If
necessary
refill
with
Shell
T
ellus
T46,
or equivalent.
Check level glass on the hydraulic tank.
Hydraulic
oil
is
preferred,
but
ATF
oil
or
engine
oil
can
be
used.
(Ref.
Operators Manual, Chapter 6 - Lubricants, and Chapter 7 - Maintenance)
Start
engine,
and
let
it
run
until
hydraulic
oil
temperature
exceeds
40
o
C.
Oil
temperature
increases
faster
by
tilting
dumper
body
several
times,
and/or
frequently
moving
steering
wheel
from
lock
to
lock.
During
warm-up
check
for
any
leaks
in
the
hydraulic
system.
Any
leaks
must
be
repaired
before
proceeding
the
warm-up.
After
warm-up,
re-check
hydraulic
oil
level,
and
perform
an
operational
check
of
all
functions
as
follows:
Check 1
Steering function.
Turn
steering
wheel
from
side
to
side,
lock
to
lock,
engine
speed
720
rpm.
(low idle).
Count the number of turns.
Approx.
5 turns
is
acceptable.
Open
the
bonnet
and
connect
pressure
gauge
to
the
quick
connector
at
the
left
side
of
the
engine.
Check 2
Steering pressure.
Engine
at
2000
rpm,
hold
steering
wheel
towards
either
end
lock
position.
Hydraulic pressure: 210 bar±5.
Adjusting
procedure.
Check 3
Tilting pressure, lowering.
Engine
at
720
rpm,
lower
dumper
body.
Lowering
time
should
be
approx.
18 sec.
/ 10 sec.
at max rpm
Hydraulic
pressure:
100 bar ± 5.
