HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Variable axial piston pump
LS – operated
Mounted at rear of transmission
Driven by the engine
Ratio 1:1
Maximum volume
Pump 1 145 ccm
Pump 2 60 ccm
Stand – by pressure 25 ±2.0bar (idle)
Maximum (tilt) pressure 280 ±5.0bar
(1000 rpm)
The pumps P1 and P2 are located at the rear end of the transmission. Pumps are accessed from rear, under
the cab.
Removal
Thoroughly clean the pumps and the area around for any accumulated dirt.
Place a container below the pumps to catch any hydraulic fluid spilt during removal.
Mark both hydraulic lines in both pumps for proper location and plug lines as they are removed from pumps.
Unscrew the bolts and the nuts securing the pumps to the transmission.
Lift the pumps out from the truck for exchange or overhaul.
Installation
Apply a light coat of lubrication on the axle splines. Check that the o-ring is installed to seal the mating flange,
and position the pumps onto the transmission.
Check that the pumps are properly seated, and tighten bolts.
Clean the flange couplings, and install new o-rings.
Connect the flange couplings, ensure that the hoses are positioned in correct angle, and tighten the bolts.
Control
Before startup - Check that all connections are located in the same positions as before removal, and that all
hoses are correctly routed.
