TRANSMISSION
Removal and refitting various components
Transmission
LKV axle insert
1. Transmission oil filler/level check plug
M42x1.5 with O-ring 38x2.5
Tightening torque MA = 150 Nm
2. Oil drain plug with magnetic insert
M24x1.5 with O-ring 21x2
Tightening torque MA = 70 Nm
3. Type plate
Adhesive Therostat MS-9360
1. Eye bolt M20
2. Breather (M10x1)
• Tightening torque MA = 12 Nm
3. Oil filler plug
• M42x2 with O-ring 38x2.5
• Tightening torque MA = 145 Nm
4. Connection 2 Power take-off (Pump A1)
• Cover plate with O-ring 155x3 for the transport
¤ Hexagon screw M18/10.9x25
¤ Tightening torque MA = 280 Nm
5. Cover plate gasket
• Hexagon screw M8/8.8x18
• Tightening torque MA = 23 Nm
6. Type plate
• Adhesive Therostat MS-9360
7. Oil drain plug with magnetic insert
• M38x1.5 with O-ring 35x2
• Tightening torque MA = 80 Nm

9. Emergency steering pump
• Disassembly
¤ Loosen hexagon screws, separate emergency steering pump from
transmission and remove O-ring.
• Reassembly
¤ Insert O-ring 100x3 (1) into the annular groove of the piston and
grease it.
¤ Mount emergency steering pump and fix it with hexagon screws.
¤ Wet mounting thread with Loctite 243
¤ Tightening torque (M8/8.8x170) MA = 23 Nm
¤ Esure correct installation position
D= Pressure port M22x1.5
S= Suction port M26x1.5
10. Connection 1 Power take-off (Pump A2)
• Flush-mount the sealing covers (arrows) with the concave side
showing downwards to the housing surface.
¤ Wet the contact surface with Loctite Type 262.
New models have different pump solu-
tion but same assembly to transmis-
sion.
