Insert the ring gear carrier (1)
into the ring gear (2)
and fasten it by means of the retaining ring (3).
Insert the cpl. ring gear (1)
and screw on the slotted nut (2).
Mount the chamfer showing to the outside!
Tighten the slotted nut.
Tightening torque ………………................ MA = 2 000 Nm
When tightening rotate the hub in both directions
several times!

Check the rolling resistance by means of the spring balance.
Torque T = 8 - 14 Nm
Hub Ø 444 mm r = 0.222 m
Tensile force F min = T: r = 8 Nm : 0.222 m = 36 N
Tensile force F max = T: r = 14 Nm : 0.222 m = 63 N
(S) Spring balance 505760
If the torque is not achieved, it has to be corrected by
means of the ring (see Fig. 60).
In this case the steps of Fig. 60 - 64 are to be repeated!
Torque too low: install a thinner ring
Torque too high: install a thicker ring
