14.2.1 SAS HBA driver installation
1. After the server boots Windows, the newly installed HBAs are detected, which launches
the
Found New Hardware Wizard. We downloaded the latest SAS HBA driver for Windows
Server 2003 from the support site, so we do not want to connect to the Windows Update
Web site (see Figure 14-2). We select No, not this time, and click Next.

2. We saved the downloaded HBA driver in the directory C:\x3755\SASHBAdrv\win2k3. We
therefore select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), as shown in
Figure 14-3.

3. In Figure 14-4 we select Search for the best driver in these locations, check the box
Include this location in the search, and enter the directory where the driver code
resides as the only location to be searched. This speeds up the installation, as it prevents
from other directory paths from being searched unnecessarily.
