5.7.13 Supplementary fan for option modules, converter in degree of protection

Overview
The supplementary fan is not mounted in the factory. Under certain requirements, you must
subsequently mount the supplementary fan to cool the converter.
Requirement
The supplementary fan is delivered together with the converter.
The supplementary fan is required if the two subsequent conditions occur:
• Ambient temperature > 50°C
• More than 1 option module is mounted in the converter.
Procedure
Proceed as follows to mount the supplementary fan:
1. Switch o󹪜 the supply voltage to the converter.
2. Open the front door of the converter.
3. If required, temporarily remove the control cables that prevent the supplementary fan from
being mounted.
