16.3 Firmware update via memory card
Overview
If you can physically access the converter, then you can directly update the 󹪝rmware on the
converter using a memory card (SD card).
Requirement
• You have an SD card with the appropriate 󹪝rmware, e.g. 6SL3570-0GB00-0AA0.
• You have an empty SD card with a maximum storage capacity of 32GB (e.g.
6SL5970-0AA00-0AA0) onto which you can load the 󹪝rmware.

Procedure
Proceed as follows to update the 󹪝rmware using an SD card:
1. Switch o󹪜 the converter supply voltage.
2. Insert the SD card into the converter.
3. Switch on the converter supply voltage.
4. The new 󹪝rmware is installed. The process takes approx. 2minutes.

• Do not disconnect the motor from the converter
- Firmware update is completed
5. Switch o󹪜 the converter supply voltage.
6. Remove the SD card.
