If the control level and 󹪝eld level of the 󹪝eldbus are connected through a gateway, then
optical or electrical isolation is required in the gateway, for example using a Simatic Scalance
X101-1 media converter.
Within the 󹪝eld level, electrical isolation between individual segments of the 󹪝eldbus is
possible when required.
