FSB-FSC
Overview
The internal fan must be replaced if a fan is defective or if the fan has reached its maximum
operating period.
Requirement
WARNING
Electric shock when live parts are touched
After the internal fan is removed, the live components of the converter are no longer protected
from being touched. Contact with live parts can result in death or serious injury.
• Before replacing the fan, switch o󹪜 the power supply at terminals X1:L1, L2, L3.
• Check that the internal fan is de-energized before removing it.
• Wait until the discharge time speci󹪝ed on the warning labels has elapsed.
The following requirements apply when the internal fan is replaced:
• Comply with ESD regulations.
• Only quali󹪝ed personnel may install spare parts.
• The converter housing cover has been removed.
• Required tools:
– Torx screwdriver T20
Procedure
The procedure for removing and installing the internal fan is identical for frame sizes FSB and
FSC. The internal fan di󹪜ers in terms of the position and number of the 󹪝xing screws.
The following procedure describes removing and installing the internal fan for frame sizes
FSB and FSC using a converter of frame size FSC as example.
