14.13.3 Bypass
Overview
The "Bypass" function switches the motor between converter and mains operation. The "Bypass"
function can save energy in certain applications or temporarily ensure operation despite an
converter fault.
Requirement
The "Bypass" function has the following requirements:
• The converter operates an induction motor.
• The induction motor can be operated directly on the line supply.
• The power supply to the converter is maintained even during mains operation of the motor.
• The "󹪞ying restart" function is active (p1200=1or4).

Under a condition which can be adjusted, the converter opens the K1 contactor and closes
the K2 contactor. The converter thereby switches the motor from converter operation to
mains operation.
