4.14.5 EMC-compliant shield support
Requirement
Use shielded cables with 󹪝nely stranded braided shields.
Description
Requirements placed on EMC-compliant shield supports:
• The shield is never interrupted.
• Connect the shields at both ends of the cable as close as possible to the cable connection
locations through a large surface area.
• Metal or metalized plug connectors are used to connect shielded data cables.
Example
Examples of shield supports on a shield plate and a mounting plate are shown in the following
diagram.
