14.10.2.2 Setting of technological application in Standard Drive Control
Overview
The selected technological application optimizes the calculation of the open-loop and closed-
loop control parameters in Standard Drive Control operating mode.
Description of function
The following settings are available to select for open-loop speed control with parameter p0501.

0 Constant load (linear characteristic)
• Setting for all applications without speed-dependent
load characteristic
• High load torque even at low speeds
1 Speed-dependent load (parabolic charac‐
teristic)
• Setting, e.g. for parabolic load characteristics for
pumps, fans
• Only small load torques at low speeds
• Full load is reached at the rated operating point
• If high load surges in the range of low and medium
speeds cannot be ruled out, we recommend setting
p501=0.

Overview
The startup behavior of the motor can be improved by increasing the current at low speeds.
