Theory of Operation
Duplex Unit
â–  Duplex Jam Sensor
The Duplex Jam Sensor detects paper that is carried to the Duplex Unit.
â–  Duplex Clutch
The Duplex Clutch transmits drive energy from the Duplex Motor to the
Exit Roller in the Fuser. When the Clutch operates, the Exit Roller rotates
in the reverse direction.
â–  Duplex Motor
The Duplex Motor provides drive energy to the Lower Roller (Duplex 2
Roller), Upper Roller (Duplex 1 Roller), and Exit Roller on the Fuser.
â–  Duplex Board
The Duplex Board controls the Motor, Sensor, and Clutch.
â–  Duplex Fan
The Duplex Fan removes heat from inside of the printer to prevent
overheating.
