Wrong external IP
network configuration
The Mediant 8000 must be
connected to two external Layer 3
switches or routers, that must be
configured for fully redundant
operation via the use of
VRRP/HSRP protocols. Improper
configuration of external switches
may lead to ustable IP network
connectivity.
Make sure that the external
switches/routers have the “spanning
tree” feature enabled.
