INDICATOR MODE FUNCTION
Auto This is the default mode.
• Automatically corrects the paper curl by
selecting the curl direction and amount.
This is based on the paper size and
orientation and on the finishing device that
is receiving the output. Automatic decurl
mode flattens output sheet-by-sheet based
on environment, paper weight, area
coverage, and 1–sided or 2–sided printing.
• When Auto is selected, the indicator to the
right of the button is illuminated.
• This mode has seven automated settings
for controlling paper curl: three upcurl
settings, three downcurl settings, and mid-
range.
• When Auto mode is in use, an indicator
flashes momentarily on the control panel.
The control panel shows the preselected
curl direction and amount of decurl applied
to the paper.
Mid-range When this indicator is illuminated for either
Auto mode or Manual mode, no curl correction
is applied to the printed output.
