DATA-CHL (Data Channel)
The Data Channels (DATA-CHLs) provide a data communications interface that
allows data terminal equipment connected to port circuit packs to communicate
with software applications running on the system.
The TN777B Netcon circuit pack contains four (4) Data Channels and the
TN2401/TN794 NetPkt circuit pack contains eight (8) Data Channels.
Each DATA-CHL represents a dial-up/dial-out asynchronous communications port
that interfaces to the TDM Bus. Data is transported between the terminal
equipment and the software application over the DATA-CHL.
