10-1010 Issue 4 May 2002
System resets do not reset the 6-day timer. If a system in License-Error
mode is reset and the license error remains, the timer picks up the
countdown where it left off.
To clear LIC-ERR alarms, the License File must match the switch hardware
and administered parameters.
License mode details
The license modes indicate the systems operational status:
License-Normal
License File installed successfully
Feature usage within prescribed limits
The license file serial number matches.
If it is an upgrade, the switch requires a new License File.
License-Error
License File serial number does not match the hardware
System software versions do not match
Feature usage exceeded
System cannot verify the standby serial number (duplex only)
License has expired
No-License
System software versions do not match
License File missing or could not be installed
Offer Categories do not match
The condition(s) that caused the system to enter License-Error
mode has not been corrected/resolved, and the 6-day countdown

The switch returns to License-Normal mode when the license errors
are cleared.
