7. Find the DID-TRK MO in the Maintenance Object chapter of the
appropriate maintenance book.
8. In the first table look up the initial command to run in the MAJOR row of the
table (Step 4 indicated that a DID trunk in slot 10, carrier C has a MAJOR
alarm).
9. Type test port 01C1008 long and press
Enter.
“01C1008” is the address of the alarmed port (Screen 1-2 on page 1-3 and
Screen 1-3 on page 1-3)
10. While the port test is running, look up the Error Type (1537 from Screen
1-3) in the DID Trunk Error Log Entries table (example below).
11. Since the Test to Clear Value (
test port 01C1008 sh r 1) is very similar to the
initial test you ran in Step 11, wait for the results of the port test.
12. When the port test finishes, the following screen appears (Screen 1-4):

13. Find the Port Diagnostic Test (#35 from Test No.) in the DID-TRK section
of the Maintenance book. Note the Error Code (61472).

2. A MAJOR alarm on a trunk indicates that alarms on these trunks are downgraded by the set options
command and that at least 75% of the trunks in this trunk group are alarmed.
