2 Place the headlamp switch in the LOW beam
position.
3 Place the multifunction switch in the HIGH
beam position.
• Do the high beam lamps operate?
 Yes
GO TO E2
 No
DIAGNOSE the high beam lamps.
REFER to Section 417-01.
E2: CHECK FOR VOLTAGE ON CIRCUIT 14-LE11 (VT/WH)

4 Measure the voltage between the instrument
cluster C39 pin 30, circuit 14-LE11 (VT/WH),
harness side and ground.
• Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
 Yes
GO TO E3
 No
REPAIR circuit 14-LE11. TEST the system
for normal operation.
E3: CHECK CIRCUIT 31-WC43B (BK) FOR GROUND ON HIGH BEAM INDICATOR
1 Measure the resistance between the
instrument cluster C39 pin 28, circuit 31-
WC43B (BK), harness side and ground.
• Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
 Yes
INSTALL a new instrument cluster. TEST
the system for normal operation.
 No
REPAIR circuit 31-WC43B. TEST the sys-
tem for normal operation.
