The overhead camshaft is driven from the
crankshaft by the timing chain.
The steel camshaft sprocket has 38 teeth and is
produced by the "fine blanking" process, which
enables the flat design. The camshaft sprocket
position is fixed by a guide lug to a slot in the
camshaft. The timing mark is stamped into the
face of the sprocket.
