Idle Speed Adjustment — (Vehicles with Air Conditioning) (23 413 0)
NOTE: This adjustment must be carried out with
the engine at normal operating temperature.
1. Connect a tachometer to the engine in
accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
2. Remove the idle speed control cable
retaining clip.
3. Start the engine and allow it to idle.
4. Loosen the idle speed adjustment screw
lock nut.
5. Adjust the minimum engine speed as
necessary
(refer to Specifications contained in this section).
6. Tighten the idle speed adjustment screw lock
nut.
7. Check to ensure the minimum engine speed
is still within specification.
8. Momenentarily move the idle lever away
from the stop.
9. Check to ensure the idle speed is still within
specification.
10. Adjust the idle speed control cable
(refer to operation in this section)
