DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING
Parking, Rear and License Lamps
Inspection and Verification
1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of
mechanical or electrical damage.
Visual Inspection Chart
Electrical
• Fuse(s).
• Bulb(s).
• Wiring harness.
• Electrical connector(s).
3. If an obvious cause for an observed or
reported concern is found, correct the cause
(if possible) before proceeding to the next
step.
4. If the cause is not visually evident, verify the
symptom and refer to the Symptom Chart.

• Go To Pinpoint Test N
• The parking, rear or license
plate lamps are on continuously.
• Circuit(s).
• Multifunction switch.
• Central Junction Box (CJB).
• Go To Pinpoint Test O
• The parking, rear or license
plate lamps are inoperative.
• Fuse.
• Circuit(s).
• Multifunction switch.
• Central Junction Box (CJB).
• Go To Pinpoint Test P
