Removal
1. NOTE: Use an Allen key to prevent the piston
rod turning.
Loosen the left-hand and the right-hand
strut and spring assembly upper retaining
nut five turns (right-hand side shown).
2. Loosen the left-hand wheel nuts and loosen
the stub axle nut.
• Release the front drive halfshaft stub nut
and loosen it with a 32 mm socket
wrench.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. For
additional information, refer to Section 100-
02.
