Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor — Vehicles with 1.6L / 1.3L Engines

Removal
1. Drain the cooling system. For additional
information, refer to Section 303-03.
2. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature
(ECT) sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the ECT sensor.
1. Remove the clip.
2. Remove the ECT sensor.
4. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
Installation
1. NOTE:
Install a new ECT sensor O-ring seal.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
