Removal
1. Remove the oil pump. For additional
informat
ion, refer to Oil Pump in this

ection.
2. Lower the vehicle.
3. Remove the valve cover. For additional
infor
mation, refer to Valve Cover in this
s
ection.
4. NOTE:
The camshaft sprocket timing mark
and both colored links of the timing chain
must line up.
Set the engine to TDC on cylinder No. 1.
5. Remove the timing chain hydraulic
tensioner.
