DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

Engine
General
The Rocam SOHC engine is of 1.6 and 1.3 litre
capacity and has a power output of 70 kW and 55
kW respectively.
The engine is a 4-cylinder in-line, four stroke unit
with single overhead camshaft and cross-flow
cylinder head. The engine is a new development
and includes the following technical features:
• Cast iron cylinder block with integrated timing
chain housing
• Cast iron crankshaft with five main bearings
• Lightweight pistons with three piston rings
• Cast aluminum alloy cylinder head with
integrated timing chain housing and camshaft
bearings
