1.1.3 Logon by Telnet
By default, you can logon by Telnet in login local mode directly.
1. Make sure the switch and the PC are in the same LAN. Click Start and type cmd in the
Search bar as Figure 1-4 and press Enter.

2. Open Telnet, then type telnet 192.168.0.1 in the command prompt shown as Figure 1-5,
and press the Enter button.

3. Type the default user name and password (both of them are admin), then press the Enter
button so as to enter User EXEC Mode.

Now you can manage your switch with CLI commands through Telnet connection.
