CAUTION: Protect the ball joint seal
using a soft cloth to prevent damage.
Detach the lower arm ball joint.
1. Remove the bolt.
2. Detach the lower arm ball joint.
7. Remove the wheel knuckle to suspension
unit pinch bolt.
8. Remove the wheel knuckle from the
suspension unit.
1. Insert the special tool and rotate through
90 degrees.
2. Remove the wheel knuckle.

CAUTION: Use an Allen key to prevent
the piston rod from rotating.
Remove the suspension unit top mount nut.
1. Remove the cover, (if equipped).
2. Remove the nut.
