Headlamps
Refer to Wiring Diagram Cell: 41701,
Inspection and Verification
1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of
mechanical or electrical damage.
Visual Inspection Chart
Electrical
• Fuse(s).
• Bulb(s).
• Wiring harnesses.
• Electrical connector(s).
3. If an obvious cause for an observed or
reported concern is found, correct the cause
(if possible) before proceeding to the next
step.
4. If the cause is not visually evident, verify the
symptom and refer to the Symptom Chart.

• Headlamp, left-hand side / right-
hand side.
• Go To Pinpoint Test D
• One high beam headlamp is
inoperative

• Fuse(s).
• Bulb(s).
• Circuit(s).
• Headlamp, left-hand side / right-
hand side.
• Go To Pinpoint Test E
• The Headlamps are on continu-
ously.
• Circuit(s).
• Multifunction switch.
• Relay – low beam.
• Relay – high beam.
• Instrument cluster.
• Go To Pinpoint Test F
• Flash-to-pass feature is inopera-
tive.
• Multifunction switch.
• Go To Pinpoint Test G
