3. Raise the vehicle.
Drain off the coolant.
WARNING: Risk of scalding when the
engine is at operating temperature.
• Tighten the plug again after draining.
4. CAUTION: Support the engine with a
trolley jack.
Remove camshaft timing belt as described
in Operation No. 21 304 0.
5. Remove the camshaft timing belt pulley.
• Take out the special tool.
6. Detach the coolant hose.
7. WARNING: The timing belt tensioner is
spring-loaded.
Detach the timing belt rear cover.
1. Remove the camshaft timing belt
tensioner.
2. Detach the timing belt pulley.
• Detach the cover plate.
