4. Remove the alternator (shown with the air
conditioning compressor).
1. Slacken and remove the drive belt.
2. Detach the belt tensioner.
3. Remove the alternator bolts.
5. Remove the injection pump belt pulley.
6. Remove the crankshaft pulley/vibration
damper.
• Immobilise the crankshaft using the ring
gear.
• Remove the bolts.
7. Remove the timing belt upper cover.
