14. CAUTION: On transmissions without
liquid sealers the transmission
gasket must be in place for the
following measurement.
Assemble the transmission housing.
• Fit the special tool with the longer bolt.
• Fit the auxiliary plug.
• Tighten the bolts.
• Turn the transmission through 180
degrees.
15. Fit the special tool.
• Remove the assembly plug.
16. Prepare the differential for measuring.
• Rotate the differential at least 10
revolutions to settle the bearings.
• Put the dial gauge in position with the
magnetic fixture and zero it.
