TRANSMISSION
REMOVAL
Remove and disconnect the following parts in the
numerical order.

Battery negative cable
Note:
Position the
vinyl cover on
positive

rminal
of
battery
firmily.
Raise the vehicle and support with stands.
2. Heat insulator
3. Propeller shaft (refer
to
Par.

A)
4. Speedometer cable
5.
Shift
rod
6. Vacuum hose
7. Down shift solenoid wire
8.
Oil
pipes
9. Clutch
under cover and stays
10.
Torque converter attaching bolts
Place
a
jack
under the engine, protecting the engine
oil pan with a block
of
wood.
11. Cross
member
12. Transmission assembly
Note:
When
removing
the
transmission from the engine,
be
careful
not
to
drop
out
the torque converter from
the transmission.
