. PARKING
BRAKE
ADJUSTMENT
When
the parking brake requires adjustment, proceed
as
follows:
l.
Make
sure
that
the parking brake
is
fully released.
2. Jack
up
the rear end
of
the vehicle until the wheels
are free
to
tum.
Then, support with stands.
3. Adjust the parking brake lever adjusting screw so
that the rear brakes are locked when the parking
le
ver
is
pulled 5
-
7 notches with approx.
10
kg
(22 lb)
of
force.
4.
After adjustment
is
completed, apply the parking
brake several times, then release and make sure
that the rear wheels rotate freely without dragging.
5. Lower the vehicle.
