Idle
Speed
Adjust the engine idle speed as described in Section 4.

Adjusting Kick·down Switch
1.
Disconnect the wiring connectors from
the
kick-down
switch.
2.
Screw
out the kick-down switch for few turns.
3.
Fully depress
the
accelerator pedal.
4.
Gradually screw in
the
kick-down switch until
the
clicking sound
is
audible and then further screw
in
the
switch half tum.
5.
Tighten the Jock
nut
and connect the wiring
connectors.

Inhibitor
Switch
I.
Shift
the
selector lever
to
"N"
range.
2.
Loosen the inhibitor switch attaching screws.
3.
Correctly
position
the
manual shaft in
"N"
posi·
tion by adjusting
the
range select lever.
The proper
"N"
position
is
where
the
slot
of
the
manual shaft
is
positioned vertically and detent
works to position in
the
shaft correctly with a click
sound.
4.
Move
the
inhibitor switch
so
that
the identification
marks on
the
switch
body
and sliding
plate
is
aligned.
5.
Tighten
the
inhibitor switch attaching screws
securely.
6.
Slide
the
select lever
"P"
position and make sure
that
the engine
is
started when the select lever moves
fore and aft in moval range
of
"P"
position.
7.
Check the operation
of
the switch in each detent
position
of
selector.
The engine should started only with
the
transmission
selector lever
in
"N"
and
"P"
position.
