11. Pitman arm
Use the puller (49 0223 695E)
12. Remove the bolts and nuts retaining the steering
gear housing
to the body.
13. Under cover
14. Engine mounting
15. Stabilizer bar
16. Steering gear box assembly
(With collapsible steering models)
If the car has been involved in a light collision, check
the steering wheel for axial play before removing.
When steering shaft is crushed, axial play occurs.
Replace
if necessary.
Note:
The collapsible steering column and
shaft are serviced
as
an assembly only.
