Replacing
Water
The
rmo
Valve
Replace the water thermo
valve
as follows:

To
avoid
th
e
danger
of
being burned, do
not
remove
the radiator
dr
a
in
plug while
the
e
ng
ine and radia
tor
are
still
hot.
1. Engine coolant (drain)
2. Vacuum tubes
3. Water thermo valves
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Apply the sealing tape to
the
water thermo
valve
to
prevent the coolant leakage.

1.
Remove the water thermo valve.
2. Immerse the water thermo
valve
in a container.
3. Heat up the water gradually and observe the
tem-
perature.
4. Blow the
val
ve and
if
air flows
out
at
59°C (13F)
or above, the valve is satisfactory.

Replacing
Water
Thermo

tch
Replacing the water thermo switch as follows:
1.
Drain
the coolant from
the
radiator until the coolant
level
is
below the inlet manifold.
2. Disconnect the bull
te
connectors fr
om
th
e switch.
3. Loosen and remove the water thermo s
wi
tch from the
inlet manifold.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
