Vehicle Sync
Vehicle Sync supports up to six vehicles within range of approximately 325 yards (300 m) and in
direct line of sight with each other.
Requirements
For Vehicle Sync, you need:
l FM-1000 integrated display
l Vehicle Sync unlock
l DCM-300 Modem (page 138)
l High-gain Wi-Fi antenna kit

Setup steps
1.
At the Home screen, tap . The Configuration screen displays.
2.
Select Vehicle Sync and tap Setup. The Vehicle Sync Configuration screen displays.
3.
On the Setup tab, enter the appropriate settings.
Setting Explanation
Channel Make sure that the channel that is selected is the same on
all the vehicles that you want to link. You can link up to six
vehicles.
Static IP
Must be unique for each vehicle being synced. If two
vehicles have the same IP address, tap Generate New for one
of the displays.
CAUTION – Do not remove power from the display or the DCM-
300 modem for 10 minutes after you tap the Generate New
button.
Display Name
Enter a descriptive name that will be easy to recognize and
select when you join the vehicles.
Note –
If you already have Office Sync, this item is populated
with the vehicle name that you set up earlier.
