6.14.6 Connection
The standard CANSAS-L-HCI8 Module ist equipped with 2x 6-pin Service connectors on the rear side.
Those terminal connections are dedicated to imc personal for service issues (calibration and adjustment)

Note
There is a possibility for certain function configurations to cause an electrostatic discharge (ESD) directly
at the connection terminals. This can lead to asynchronous operation (crash) of the CANSAS-HCI8. This
will not cause any damage. A brief interruption of the power supply causes the module to restart
(correctly).
This unintended instance of ESD is practically only possible if a person carrying static charge touches one
of the measurement inputs during measurement. If there is any need for such contact, the risk of ESD
can be avoided by previously touching the device's metal housing.
