TO DELETE THE CONFIGURATION FILE
To delete the available configuration files, use the following command:

ALU(config)# delete config-file my-config
ALU(config)# write erase
Are you sure you want to erase startup-config file yes/no
[yes]:yes
[OK] startup-config file erased.
Command (in CM) Description
delete config-file <file-name> This command is used to delete the
configuration file from the config
directory.
write erase This command is used to delete the
startup-config permanently.
The command "erase startup-config"
can also be used to delete the startup-
configuration permanently.
