OAM CONFIGURATION USING OMNIACCESS 5740 USG
Consider a scenario with VLAN-A service running between two OmniAccess 5740
USG - OA5740-A and OA5740-B. In order to monitor and troubleshoot the service
level and network level defects, enable Ethernet OAM on device A and device B.

CONFIGURATION STEPS
ON OA5740-A
a) Enter the OAM Configuration Mode.
OA5740-A(config)# oam
OA5740-A(config-oam)#
b) Configure maintenance domain (MD) and its identifier.
OA5740-A(config-oam)# eth-cfm domain 1 name string domain123
level 6
c) Configure maintenance association and its identifier (MAID) within
maintenance domain.
OA5740-A(config-oam)# eth-cfm association 1 domain 1
assocName string asso123
OA5740-A(config-oam-domain-assoc)#
d) Configure remote maintenance association end point and its identifier within a
MA.
OA5740-A(config-oam-domain-assoc)# remote-mep 10
e) Configure maintenance association end point identifier.
