CHAPTER 15 POINT-TO-POINT PROTOCOL
This chapter includes the commands for configuring Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP)
encapsulation on a T1 or E1 interface or a Serial Interface (V.35/X.21). You are
required to refer to the “T1E1 Line Card” and “Universal Serial Port (USP) Line
Card” chapters before proceeding to this.
This chapter includes steps to configure PPP (LCP, IPCP, Timers and Counters,
authentication), and troubleshoot PPP through the CLI. For instructions on using
the PPP commands and descriptions on each of their parameters, refer to the
OmniAccess 5740 Unified Services Gateway CLI Command Reference
Guide.
